Job Title: WordPress & Shopify Website Developer

Nametech Canada is a growing technology and digital services company providing website development, eCommerce solutions, and IT consulting to clients across multiple industries. We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress & Shopify Developer to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced developer who can build, customize, and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites with a strong focus on performance, security, and user experience. This role involves working on client websites from development through deployment, as well as ongoing improvements and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize WordPress websites (themes, plugins, Elementor, WooCommerce)

  • Develop and customize Shopify stores (themes, apps, custom sections)

  • Convert designs (Figma / Adobe XD / reference sites) into responsive websites

  • Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness

  • Implement payment gateways, forms, and third-party integrations

  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues

  • Perform updates, backups, and basic security hardening

  • Collaborate with internal team and clients to deliver projects on time

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with WordPress and Shopify

  • Proficiency with Elementor, WooCommerce, and Shopify themes

  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript

  • Experience with website performance optimization

  • Familiarity with hosting environments (GoDaddy, cPanel, Cloud hosting)

  • Experience with plugins, apps, and API integrations

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-vendor platforms

  • Knowledge of Stripe, PayPal, and other payment systems

  • Basic SEO and accessibility best practices

  • Experience working with Canadian or US-based clients
