HubSpot is one of the largest CRM platforms: hubs for marketing, sales, service, content, data and revenue on one shared CRM, sold from startups to enterprises. NameCRM is the CRM we built for our own agency and are preparing for other service businesses. It is not on sale yet.
They solve problems of different sizes. HubSpot shines when a team runs marketing campaigns and a sales process at scale. NameCRM is built for an owner-led business whose day is calls, meetings, quotes, contracts and getting paid.

Who each one is for
HubSpot is the better choice when
You run email marketing, landing pages and campaigns and want them in the same system as sales.
You have a sales team that needs round robin meeting links, pipelines per rep and reporting across teams.
You need a particular integration: HubSpot counts over 2,000 apps.
You want the interface in French.
You want to start today and grow into higher editions.
NameCRM is the better fit when
You are the owner, your day is calls and meetings, and missed calls cost you work.
You want quotes, engagement letters, invoices, QuickBooks and a client portal for projects in one system, rather than a support ticket portal and separate hubs.
You text clients from Canada: HubSpot's texting sends from United States numbers.
You want every AI draft to wait for a person to press Send.
Where HubSpot is ahead today
Scale and reach. HubSpot says it serves over 306,000 customers in more than 135 countries, with apps for iPhone and Android and an interface available in French. Its marketing tools, content tools and app library go far beyond what NameCRM does.
It also offers a choice of where data lives: five data centres, Canada among them. Its AI line-up is broad, with agents for customer service, prospecting, content and data managed in one place.
Where NameCRM is different
NameCRM is one system with no hubs to combine. The parts a service business uses every day (the phone, the calendar, quotes, letters, invoices, QuickBooks and a client portal) pass the same numbers to each other, so an agreed price flows from the quote to the letter, the invoice and the books without retyping.
The phone is the centre. The AI receptionist has answered our own line since September 5, 2026, says it is an AI on every call, books into the real calendar while the caller waits and texts a recap. HubSpot's own voice agent was in public beta when we checked, on its Professional and Enterprise editions.
How to get NameCRM
NameCRM runs our own agency every day, and we are opening it to other service businesses. Request access on the NameCRM page and we will set up a walkthrough. If you need a system built around your business now, we build custom CRMs too.
Book the free 30-minute assessment. Seemab Akbar looks at how your business runs today and tells you plainly what to buy, what to build and what to leave alone. We come to you, meet somewhere near you, or talk online.
Is HubSpot or NameCRM better for a small service business in Canada?
It depends on the work. HubSpot suits a business that runs marketing campaigns and a sales team and wants a large app library. NameCRM suits an owner-led business whose day is calls, meetings, quotes and contracts, and it includes an AI receptionist. NameCRM is not on sale yet, and HubSpot is.
Can HubSpot store my data in Canada?
Yes. When we read HubSpot's data centres page on October 4, 2026, it listed five locations, including a Canada data centre. New paid accounts are placed by the location they sign up from, and existing paid accounts can move. NameCRM stores client records in a database in Canada.
Does HubSpot have an AI receptionist?
HubSpot's Customer Agent Voice answers inbound calls on a HubSpot-provided number. On October 4, 2026 it was in public beta, handled inbound calls only, and needed Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise plus HubSpot credits. NameCRM's receptionist answers, books and places calls on our own line.
Can HubSpot send text messages from a Canadian number?
HubSpot's SMS help page said on October 4, 2026 that messages can only be sent from US-based numbers, reaching recipients in the US and Canada, and that SMS is an add-on. NameCRM texts clients from the business's own Canadian number.
Does HubSpot connect to QuickBooks Online?
Yes, through a QuickBooks Online app built by HubSpot in its marketplace. HubSpot's invoice help page notes that with the app installed, taxes cannot be added to HubSpot invoices. NameCRM keeps a QuickBooks Online mirror and puts tax on each invoice line.
