Web design and brand identity for Chilliwack businesses

Chilliwack has two centres. North of Highway 1, the old downtown spreads out from Five Corners, and the rebuilt blocks of District 1881 at Wellington Avenue and Mill Street hold locally owned restaurants, breweries and shops along pedestrian alleys. South of the highway, Sardis is the everyday shopping district, and Vedder Road runs on down to Garrison Crossing, the neighbourhood built on part of the former Canadian Forces base. Between the two, the large-format stores of Eagle Landing sit beside the highway off Evans Road.

Farmland surrounds all of it. About two thirds of the city lies inside the Agricultural Land Reserve, dairy, poultry and nursery growers lead the farm economy, and Chilliwack sweet corn has a following of its own. Nametech Canada designs websites, online stores and brand identities for Chilliwack businesses from an office in Surrey.

How far away we are, and why it rarely matters

Our office is in Surrey, west of Chilliwack along Highway 1. Nearly all of the work happens on video calls with a shared screen, from the assessment to the lesson on editing your own pages. When a visit will improve the result we drive out, to photograph a shop in District 1881, say, or to sit down in the evening with a farm family that has no spare hour in daylight.

You talk to the people who design and build the site. Our founder, Seemab Akbar, runs the first assessment herself.

Websites for a city with two centres and a busy summer

Someone in Promontory or Garrison Crossing hunting for a dentist or a plumber will often add Sardis or Vedder to the search, while people north of the highway type downtown or simply Chilliwack. Your website and your Google Business Profile should state plainly where you are and which neighbourhoods you cover, Yarrow, Rosedale and Greendale included if you drive that far.

Summer adds a second audience. Cultus Lake, with its provincial park, waterpark and adventure park, fills with visitors who make plans on a phone. A campground, a restaurant or a farm stand needs this week's hours, a map link, and booking that still loads on one bar of signal. You can change the hours yourself when the season turns.

An independent shop downtown can add an online store, so the visitor who wandered in on a Saturday can order again from home. Holy Vibe, a jewellery brand, sells through a Shopify store we built, where shoppers combine pieces into sets and pay by Stripe. For trades in the newer subdivisions, a good model is the site we built for JLJ Painting in Surrey: a gallery of finished projects, quote requests and a Google Maps listing.

Brand identity for new and growing Chilliwack companies

People search for naming and brand identity together, so to be plain: company naming is not a service we sell. Once you have chosen and registered your name, we build the identity around it: a logo, a colour palette, typefaces, a tone of voice, and a short guideline document. Then we carry it onto your website, social profiles, business cards and brochures.

If you are finishing a trades program at the University of the Fraser Valley campus in Canada Education Park and setting up on your own, a logo and a starter website that takes quote requests make a sensible first package.

Every project opens with a free 30-minute assessment by video. If you go ahead, the scope is written down and a fixed price is agreed before work starts. Call +1 604-900-2060 or book through the contact page.

FAQ's

Chilliwack web design questions

Who does website design in Chilliwack?

You have local choices, and Nametech Canada is one more if you are comfortable hiring a company based in Surrey. We design and develop custom websites and online stores, customize existing WordPress sites, and look after local SEO alongside the build. Our Google rating is 4.9 stars from 16 reviews.

Do you offer brand identity and logo design in Chilliwack?

Yes. Brand identity here means the strategy behind the brand, a logo, a palette, fonts, a written voice, and a guideline document your printer or sign shop can follow. Two logos in our portfolio, for Holy Vibe and for JLJ Painting, came out of website projects. We do not name companies, so decide on the name first and bring it to us.

How do I show up in both Sardis and downtown Chilliwack searches?

Google leans on where your business is and where the searcher is standing, so one address will not rank equally on both sides of the highway. Set accurate service areas in your Google Business Profile, name the neighbourhoods you serve on your service pages, and ask reviewers to mention where they live. Google Ads can fill the gap on the side of town where you are weaker.

Can a seasonal business near Cultus Lake get by with a small website?

Yes, and small is usually right. Most seasonal operators need a home page, a page for each thing a visitor can book or buy, directions, and hours that are correct today. What matters is upkeep, so we build it for you to update prices, hours and closures from your phone.
