Online stores and websites for retailers, from jewellers to marketplaces

A jeweller's watch collection filtered by style with price on request, an enquiry form for the day's price, and how the collection shows in search results, with example data

An online store sells when a buyer finds the right product fast, trusts what the page tells them and gets through checkout without a fight. A jeweller, a set maker, a distributor and a marketplace each need that in a different way.

ElayaLuxe, a luxury jeweller in Surrey, BC, sells certified authentic watches and fine jewellery through a Shopify store we built, with 1,058 products and no prices on show: every piece routes to an enquiry quoted at the live market rate. Holy Vibe, a Calgary jewellery store we built on Shopify, sells sets shoppers build themselves. ShopBerbeR, an Ottawa marketplace on WordPress and WooCommerce, lets sellers open their own stores, and Floor Warehouse, a Burnaby flooring distributor, sells through a Webflow store we built with Stripe checkout.

Each section below is tied to one of those builds and to the service page that explains it. Start with the piece that costs you the most today: the free 30-minute assessment finds it, and we come to you, at your business, at a spot near you or online.

Built for retail

What a retailer needs, and where we have built it

The jobs an online store has to do. Each one names the build where it runs today and the page with the detail.

  1. Products sorted the way buyers shop

Most of ElayaLuxe's watch brand pages list model lines as tags, so a Rolex buyer goes straight to Submariner or Day-Date. Floor Warehouse's Browse menu splits the range two ways: eight collections for a buyer with a look in mind, four floor types for one who knows the install method.

  2. Price on request for high-value pieces

ElayaLuxe posts no prices, because watch prices move with the market every day. Each piece carries a Price on Request button beside Call for Pricing, the form asks for contact details, a time to call and new or pre-owned, and every form promises a specialist reply within 24 hours.

  3. A checkout that works

Floor Warehouse's checkout takes the shipping address and card on one page, with payment through Stripe, and the cart opens as a panel on the right so a buyer keeps browsing. ShopBerbeR's checkout also runs through Stripe, which offers Klarna and Affirm to buyers who would rather pay over time.

  4. Sets customers build themselves

Holy Vibe's mix-and-match sets are built from ordinary products: 23 charms and 8 chains, each sold as its own product. Its Build Your Own page lays out 3 Easy Steps, and the charms are assembled on the chosen chain before it ships.

  5. Product pages that answer the buyer's questions

Every Floor Warehouse product page lists the specs a buyer compares: water rating, wear layer, thickness, board size and square feet per box. Each ElayaLuxe watch page carries a specifications table, from model number to calibre, so a collector can check the exact reference before asking for a price.

  6. A marketplace where other sellers open shops

ShopBerbeR's sellers sign themselves up through a Vendor Registration form and get a store at shopberber.com/store/ followed by their store's name. Each store page has Products, About, Policies, Reviews and Followers tabs, and on a product page a shopper can ask the seller a question before paying.

  7. Getting found by buyers who research first

We wrote the search titles and descriptions for ElayaLuxe's collections, so the Rolex page is titled Rolex Watches: Certified Authentic. Its Diamond Education guide and journal, with a guide to buying a pre-owned Rolex in Canada, serve buyers who research before they spend.

FAQ's

Frequently asked question

Should my online store be on Shopify or built custom?

The platform follows what the store has to do. ElayaLuxe and Holy Vibe run on Shopify. Floor Warehouse runs on Webflow, which manages products, pages and orders from one dashboard, and ShopBerbeR runs on WordPress and WooCommerce because its sellers needed a Store Manager of their own. The free assessment starts from what you sell.

Can I hide prices and take enquiries instead?

Yes. ElayaLuxe's Shopify store hides every price, because watch prices move with the market every day. Each piece carries a Price on Request button beside Call for Pricing, and the form asks for a name, phone, email, a preferred contact time and new or pre-owned, so a specialist can quote the live rate.

Who owns the online store you build?

The design, the content and the code we write for you are yours once the project is paid, and your customer records are yours from the start. The written scope says who holds the domain and the hosting, and we hand over anything we run for you whenever you ask.

How much does an online store cost?

It follows what the store has to do: how many products it carries, the forms beyond the cart such as price on request or custom orders, and whether other sellers open shops on it. We publish no flat price. After the free 30-minute assessment you get a written estimate, with GST added on top.

Can other sellers sell on my site, like a marketplace?

Yes. ShopBerbeR's sellers sign up through a Vendor Registration form with an email confirmed by code, and each gets a store at shopberber.com/store/ followed by its name. Sellers work from a Store Manager on the storefront, not the WordPress admin, and shoppers can ask a seller a question from the product page.
