Nametech Canada

SEO services for Surrey businesses, from a team based in Surrey

Most Surrey customers find a business the same way. They type what they need into Google, often with a neighbourhood or "near me" attached, and choose from the map and the first few results. If your painting company, clinic or shop is missing from that screen, the job goes to a business that is on it. Our SEO service works on the things that decide who appears there.

Nametech Canada is a Surrey company, with an address on 60 Avenue and a Google Business Profile that holds 5.0 stars from 20 reviews. The Surrey businesses in our portfolio include a painting company, a renovation firm, an aesthetics studio and a luxury jeweller.

What SEO is, in plain words

When someone in Surrey searches for a service, Google shows two things. At the top is a map with three Surrey businesses on it. Below the map are the regular results, the list of websites. SEO is the work on both.

The map leans on distance, your Google Business Profile and your reviews. That is why a Guildford shop can top the map in Guildford and disappear in Cloverdale. The regular results lean on your website: whether a page answers the search, works well on a phone, and is mentioned by other sites, such as a local news story or a Surrey business group.

Google's AI answers and ChatGPT now name businesses too. When someone asks for a plumber or an accountant in Surrey, those answers are built from the same pages and profiles. A page that states your services and your Surrey address plainly is the one they quote.

How people search in a city of town centres

Surrey is large enough that one city behaves like several. Someone in Cloverdale looking for a plumber sees a different map than someone in Guildford, because Google weighs how close each business is to the person searching. A shop in Newton can be invisible to a customer in South Surrey who would happily drive twenty minutes to reach it.

That shapes the work. Your Google Business Profile has to state the areas you serve. Your website needs a real page for each main service, written with the neighbourhoods you work in, from Fleetwood to Campbell Heights. Reviews help most when customers describe the job and the area in their own words. We set these up and check them every month.

What the monthly work covers

Our SEO packages come in three tiers, Starter, Professional and Advanced, and every included task is listed on our SEO services page. Call us for pricing. Starter covers keyword research, basic on-page work, a local listing setup, and Google Analytics with Search Console, so visits and searches are measured from the first month.

Professional adds a technical audit with the fixes done, Google Business Profile setup and optimization, schema markup, one or two new articles a month and backlinks from relevant sites. Advanced adds monthly technical monitoring, review responses written for you, three to five articles a month and multi-location management for a business with more than one branch. Every tier includes a monthly report.

Where the work starts

We start with what is broken, because a fix to the basics often moves the map faster than anything new. That means your Google Business Profile first: the right main category, the services you actually sell, the areas you cover, your hours and real photos of your work. Then your name, address and phone number are made to match everywhere they appear.

Next we connect Google Search Console and Analytics, so every later change is measured against where you started. Then come the pages. Most Surrey businesses we see have one page that tries to cover everything. We plan one page per main service, each written for the searches people actually type, with the Surrey neighbourhoods you serve named where they are true.

Articles and links come after the basics are sound. A new article on a site that Google cannot read properly helps nobody.

We learned how much the basics matter on our own listing. Our Business Profile's pin once sat at the geographic centre of British Columbia, in no Lower Mainland map result. The cause was the whole province listed as our service area. We replaced it with the cities we actually serve, starting with Surrey.

Surrey businesses it suits

Local SEO pays best where customers search with a need and a place in mind. Trades are the clearest case: painters, renovators, plumbers and landscapers get calls straight from the map. JLJ Painting in Surrey is one of ours, with its search content written and its listings on Google Maps and the BBB.

Clinics, studios and salons win with a page per treatment, because people search for the treatment, not the business name. We wrote treatment pages for Forever True Beauty Salon aimed at local searches. Shops win on product and collection pages, which is the work behind the search titles and descriptions on every ElayaLuxe collection.

It suits a business that wants customers from Surrey and the cities around it. A business that needs the whole country needs a different plan, and we will say so in the assessment.

How we report, and what we will not promise

Each month you get a short report in plain words: which Surrey and neighbourhood searches showed your business, how many people clicked or called from your map listing, where your main pages sit, and what we changed. The numbers come from Google Search Console and your Business Profile, so you can open the same screens and check them yourself.

Nobody can promise a first place on Google, and an agency that does is guessing or bending the rules. We do not buy links or reviews and we do not write fake ones. What we can show you is the movement, month by month, and the reason behind each change we make.

We hold our own site to the same report. In early September 2026, Google showed nametech.ca in about 50 searches a day. On October 2 it was about 650, as the work on our own SEO page went live.

Listings, pages and proof

A good share of local ranking is housekeeping. Your business name, address and phone number should match wherever they appear: on Google, on the BBB and in the local directories your customers use. For JLJ Painting in Surrey, we wrote the website's search content and listed the business on Google Maps and the BBB. For Forever True Beauty Salon, we wrote treatment pages aimed at local searches in Surrey.

The first step costs nothing. In a free 30-minute assessment we look at where you rank today, how your profile compares with the businesses above you and what your site is missing, and you get the findings in writing. Book a time on our contact page or call 604-900-2060.

FAQs

Surrey SEO questions

What does SEO cost for a small Surrey business?

We quote SEO for each business, so call 604-900-2060 or book the free assessment for pricing. A single-location business with a small site often starts on Starter or Professional. The difference is mainly the technical audit, Google Business Profile work and new content, which begin at Professional. Every plan comes with a written estimate before any work starts, with GST added on top.

My business is in Newton. Can I show up for searches in South Surrey or Langley?

Often, yes, though distance counts against you in the map results. It helps to list those areas on your Google Business Profile, publish a page about the work you do there with real photos and details, and collect reviews from customers in those neighbourhoods. The regular results below the map depend less on distance, so strong service pages can reach further than your map listing does.

Do I need a storefront to appear on Google Maps in Surrey?

No. Trades, mobile services and home-based businesses can register as service-area businesses. Your address stays hidden and the profile lists the areas you travel to. Google still uses your registered location when it decides which searches you are close to, so the address on file should be accurate. We set up the profile, the categories and the service areas for you.

How do reviews affect my ranking, and can you help me get more?

Reviews influence both where you appear on the map and whether people pick you once you do. We cannot write or buy reviews, and you should avoid anyone who offers to. What we do is give you a short review link, suggest when and how to ask, and on the Advanced package we write the replies to each review for you.

How long before SEO shows results for a Surrey business?

It depends on how far you are from the first page and how busy your search is. Fixes to your Google Business Profile can change the map within weeks. New pages and articles take longer, often months, because Google has to find them, read them and trust them. We do not promise a date. We show you the movement in the monthly report instead.

Who owns the accounts and the work if we stop?

The accounts a project needs, such as your Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics, are set up in your name, or run by us and handed to you whenever you ask. The written scope says which. The pages and articles we write for your site are yours to keep.

Can you fix my website as well, or only the search side?

Both. We build and repair websites as well as doing SEO, so a slow page, a broken form or a site Google struggles to read gets fixed by the same team that found it. If your site needs a rebuild rather than repairs, the assessment says so, and our web design team in Surrey can quote it.
