Project Overview
RK Modern Construction & Renovations is a British Columbia-based construction and renovation company delivering quality building solutions since 2012. Led by Rizwan Khan, the company specializes in kitchen and bathroom renovations, living-area and bedroom upgrades, and residential and commercial construction, with completed projects across Surrey, Abbotsford, Kelowna, and beyond, built on a reputation for trust, safety, and lasting results.
Project Summary
We developed the website for RK Modern Construction on WordPress using Elementor, with a bold dark-and-white design that lets large project photography do the convincing. The site features dedicated service pages for kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces, and a project portfolio in which each completed job, such as the Custom Kitchen Upgrade in Surrey, the Urban Luxe Bath in Abbotsford and Signature Living in Ottawa, has its own page with location and completion details. A before-and-after gallery, a testimonials page with real Google reviews, a team page and links to the company’s Facebook, Instagram and TikTok sit alongside “Start a Project” calls to action on every page, making it easy for homeowners to explore past work and request their next renovation.
About RK Modern Construction
RK Modern Construction & Renovations works across British Columbia on two kinds of job: commercial interiors for businesses, and renovations for homeowners and landlords.
On the commercial side that means medical clinics, offices and retail stores, from reception desks and feature walls to custom millwork, flooring and lighting. At home it means kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and bedrooms, with painting, cabinetry, flooring, plumbing and electrical coordination and appliance installation handled as one job.
The nine Google reviews on the site today cover kitchens, washrooms, flooring, a basement, a rental suite and two store renovations.
What they needed
RK builds clinic and store interiors as well as homes, so the latest round of work set out to say plainly that the company does both, and to lead with commercial.
Underneath that, the site has one job for every visitor, homeowner or business owner: show finished work, then make it easy to start a conversation from any page.
What we built, and why
We built the site on WordPress with Elementor and the Rebar theme. The Services menu opens to three pages, Kitchens, Living & Bedrooms and Bathrooms, and the Portfolio menu opens to three project pages. The kitchen and bath project pages each set out the location, the project scope and RK's role, Planning & Design and Construction.
Each service page walks through how RK works. The Kitchens page sets out five steps, from Site Inspection and Design & Planning through Material Selection and Construction & Installation to Final Finishing, and the Bathrooms and Living & Bedrooms pages each use three.
Google reviews come in through a Trustindex widget, with RK's own replies under six of the nine and a Load more button. The same reviews appear on the home page, the Testimonials and Contact Us pages and the service pages, so proof sits beside every service.
Every Start Project button leads to the Contact Us page, where a short form asks for a name, email, phone and message, with a consent box and a Send Message button.
The commercial-first update, September 2026
On September 25, 2026 we reworked the site to lead with commercial work. The Gallery now opens with a Commercial section: the headline Commercial spaces built for business, a Start a commercial project button, and two photos of the reception desk and staff workstation RK built for Symphony Medical, a family practice and aesthetics clinic.
A Residential section follows, headed Kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces, with eleven new photos placed ahead of the earlier ones. The gallery now holds 40 different photos, and each one opens full size.
We cropped every new photo to a 3:4 or 4:3 frame so the rows line up, removed the camera data from each file, and wrote a description of what each photo shows, such as a mudroom bench with cubbies or a white kitchen with a quartz waterfall peninsula.
The words changed with the pictures. The home page title now reads Commercial & Residential Construction and Renovation, the Commercial Fit-Outs tile comes first on the home page, and the Services and About pages list commercial construction first. We rewrote the company description in all three footer layouts and the FAQ answer on which sectors RK serves the same way, then checked all 13 public pages for leftover wording.
Where it stands today
The site is live at rkreno.ca. The Commercial and Residential sections of the Gallery each have their own anchor, so a link can open the gallery straight at clinic and store work when RK is talking to a business, or at kitchens and bathrooms when it is talking to a homeowner.
