The broadest Vancouver searches are usually held by directories and by companies that have been publishing for years. A newer or smaller business does better by starting narrow: a specific service, a neighbourhood such as Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant or Commercial Drive, and the questions buyers ask before they call anyone.

We begin with keyword research and a close look at the competitors who rank now: what their pages cover, who links to them and where they are thin. That produces a realistic list of searches to go after first and tells us which pages your site needs. Broader terms come later, once the site has earned some authority.
