Salesforce is the CRM platform large sales and service teams are built on, and it also sells Starter Suite and Pro Suite for small businesses. NameCRM is the CRM we built for our own agency and are preparing for other service businesses. It is not on sale yet.
The question for a small service business is how much of what it needs comes in the box. In Salesforce, e-signature, QuickBooks, calling and client booking come as add-ons, partner apps or higher editions. In NameCRM they are part of the system.

Who each one is for
Salesforce is the better choice when
You run, or plan to run, a sizeable sales or service team with its own processes and reporting.
You want one platform you can grow into, from a small business suite to its largest editions.
You have an administrator or a partner to set it up and keep it fitted to your business.
You need a contact centre with AI voice agents at scale.
NameCRM is the better fit when
You are the owner, your day is calls and meetings, and missed calls cost you work.
You want e-signature, QuickBooks, calling, booking and a client portal included, not added one by one.
You want to text clients from your own Canadian number.
You want a walkthrough from the team that builds it, at your place, somewhere near you or online.
Where Salesforce is ahead today
Salesforce is built to scale. Its Sales Cloud page says it has been named a leader in CRM sales platforms for the 20th year in a row, and the same platform runs from small business suites to its largest editions. Its marketplace and partner network can add almost any capability.
Its voice agent is generally available: Agentforce Voice handles inbound and outbound calls as an add-on to Service Cloud, and Agentforce Contact Center is offered in the U.S. and Canada. Its core services can be hosted in Canada.
Where NameCRM is different
NameCRM includes the pieces a service business uses every day, with nothing to add from a marketplace: e-signature on engagement letters, a QuickBooks Online mirror, calling and texting from your number, client booking and a portal. An agreed price flows from the quote to the letter, the invoice and the books.
It is built for British Columbia: GST added on top, BC statutory holidays, Pacific time, and Canada's anti-spam consent checked before a message goes out. Client records are stored in a database in Canada.
How to get NameCRM
NameCRM runs our own agency every day, and we are opening it to other service businesses. Request access on the NameCRM page and we will set up a walkthrough. If you need a system built around your business now, we build custom CRMs too.
Book the free 30-minute assessment. Seemab Akbar looks at how your business runs today and tells you plainly what to buy, what to build and what to leave alone. We come to you, meet somewhere near you, or talk online.
Is Salesforce too much for a small service business?
Salesforce sells Starter Suite and Pro Suite for small businesses, so it can start small. Many things a service business needs, such as e-signature, QuickBooks, calling and client booking, come as add-ons, partner apps or higher editions. NameCRM includes them, but it is not on sale yet.
Can Salesforce store data in Canada?
Yes. Salesforce's own documents, read on October 4, 2026, list Canada as a Hyperforce region and its core services, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, as hostable there. Salesforce notes that some products have parts that run in other countries.
Does Salesforce have an AI receptionist?
Salesforce's Agentforce Voice answers inbound and outbound calls. On October 4, 2026 it was an add-on to Service Cloud, generally available in English for the US, the UK and Australia. NameCRM's receptionist also understands French, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi callers and replies in French or Hindi.
Does Salesforce connect to QuickBooks Online?
Salesforce's QuickBooks page recommends MuleSoft, its integration product, and points to partner-built apps on its marketplace. NameCRM has a QuickBooks Online mirror built in, with totals checked across Stripe, NameCRM and QuickBooks.
Do you set up or customize Salesforce?
No. We are not a Salesforce partner and do not resell or configure it. We build custom CRMs and make NameCRM, and we can help move your records out of Salesforce into a system built around how you work.
