Dialzara alternative: an AI receptionist we timed beside it
Dialzara sells an AI receptionist you can set up yourself. Its website says most businesses are live in about 15 minutes, and it prints a demo number anyone can call. So we called it. Twice, on October 11, 2026, with a program timing every answer, and then we called our own receptionist the same way.
Ours lives inside NameCRM, the client system we run our agency on, and you cannot sign up for it tonight. If tonight matters, skip to the part about when Dialzara is the better choice. If the phone call itself matters more, the numbers come first.

Timed by phone
Dialzara's demo number and ours, two calls each
Dialzara's typical wait was 2.1 and 2.6 seconds. It talked over the caller once on each call, and one answer took 6.3 seconds to arrive. The slowest of its other answers took 3.2 seconds.
On October 11, 2026 we phoned each demo number twice. The caller was an AI of ours playing a new customer, and it was not told whose number it had dialled. The wait is the time from the caller's last sound to the receptionist's first sound. The typical wait is the middle value on a call. Talking over the caller means it started speaking while the caller was mid-sentence and the caller kept going.

What this test cannot tell you
These are demonstration lines. A company's demo line is not the same as a receptionist set up for a paying customer, and each demo plays a different kind of business.
Two calls is a small sample. The two typical waits beside each name show how much one line can move between calls. Treat the table as a snapshot of one afternoon, not a ranking for all time.
Speed is not the job. This measures waiting and interrupting. It says nothing about whether the answers were right, whether a booking was made or what the business received afterwards. We test those separately on our own line and we did not grade anyone else on them.
The caller was an AI. It let us ask every line the same kind of questions in the same manner. A person would have been less consistent and might have been more patient.
Our caller was not always polite either. It cut in before the line had finished speaking on four of the eighteen calls. It did so five times on one RingCentral call and three times on one My AI Front Desk call. It did so once on a Jobber call and once on an Upfirst call. On the My AI Front Desk call and the Jobber call, that is the same call where the line talked over the caller. So part of that count may be the line finishing its own sentence. We have since changed the caller to wait until the line's voice has stopped, and the next run will count again.

Which one fits your business
Dialzara is the better choice when
You want to sign up yourself and be answering calls today. Its site says setup takes about 15 minutes.
Many callers ring at the same moment. Dialzara says it handles unlimited calls at once, and ours holds up to five.
You want outbound calls, two-way texting or a chat widget from the same company.
You do not want to change the system you keep clients in. Ours only comes with NameCRM.
Ours is the better fit when
The wait matters to you. Ours answered in 1.6 and 1.9 seconds, never talked over the caller and left no wait over five seconds.
You want every caller told, in the first sentence, that they are speaking with an AI and being recorded.
You want the receptionist to read the caller's record before it speaks, then file the call and its tasks on that record.
You want to listen live or take a call over from your own phone.
What the two calls to Dialzara showed
Dialzara's typical wait was 2.1 seconds on one call and 2.6 on the other. It began speaking over our caller once on each call. One answer took 6.3 seconds, and the slowest of the rest took 3.2.
That is one long silence in two calls, on a demo number, on one afternoon. We would not hang a verdict on it. Our own first run of this test was two days earlier. One of our answers took 4.8 seconds, and we talked over the caller twice. We fixed both before publishing anything.
Where Dialzara is ahead
Dialzara is a product you can buy this afternoon. You create an account, add your website, pick a voice and forward your number. Ours has no sign-up page at all. You have to talk to us first. We admit that is an odd thing to ask of someone shopping for a way to stop answering the phone.
It also does more than answer. The same platform runs outbound calls, two-way texting and a chat widget, and its site says it takes unlimited calls at once. Ours answers the phone, books the meeting and files the call, and it holds up to five calls at once.
How to get the AI receptionist
The AI receptionist is part of NameCRM and is not sold on its own, because it books into the calendar, reads the caller's record and turns promises into tasks. Request access on the NameCRM page and we will set up a walkthrough.
Book the free 30-minute assessment. Seemab Akbar looks at how your business runs today and tells you plainly what to buy, what to build and what to leave alone. We come to you, meet somewhere near you, or talk online.
It depends on what you want changed. If you want a shorter wait and a receptionist that tells every caller it is an AI, ours is one. It answered in 1.6 and 1.9 seconds on our test, against 2.1 and 2.6 for Dialzara. If you want to sign up yourself today, Dialzara already does that and ours does not.
How fast does Dialzara answer the phone?
On two calls to its public demo number on October 11, 2026, its typical wait was 2.1 and 2.6 seconds. One answer took 6.3 seconds, and it talked over the caller once on each call. That is two calls on one afternoon to a demo number, not a customer's own setup.
Does Dialzara tell callers they are talking to an AI?
Dialzara's site says customers often cannot tell, and that whether callers know depends on the caller. Ours opens every call by saying it is your AI assistant and that the call is recorded. It says so again whenever a caller asks.
Can I sign up for your AI receptionist the way I would for Dialzara?
No. Dialzara lets you create an account and forward your number yourself. Ours is part of NameCRM and comes by request. You ask for access on the NameCRM page and we set up a walkthrough first.
Can Dialzara make outbound calls and send texts?
Its site says yes. The same platform runs outbound calling agents and two-way texting next to the receptionist. Ours sends the caller a recap text when a meeting is booked or a callback is owed.
