My AI Front Desk alternative: nearly the same wait, a different kind of product
My AI Front Desk had the shortest typical wait of the nine AI receptionists we phoned on October 11, 2026: 1.6 seconds on both calls. We would like to say ours won. It tied on one call and was slower on the other.
So the stopwatch does not settle this one. What each product is does. My AI Front Desk is one AI across calls, texts, email and chat, and you can sign up for it today. Ours answers the phone from inside NameCRM, tells every caller it is an AI, and comes by request. This page puts the two side by side.

My AI Front Desk's demo number and ours, two calls each
Its typical wait was 1.6 seconds on both calls, the shortest of the nine, and its slowest answer took 4.8 seconds. Neither of us left a caller waiting more than five seconds. On the second call it spoke over our caller five times, and our caller cut in on it three times on that same call. So part of that count may be it finishing its own sentence.
On October 11, 2026 we phoned each demo number twice. The caller was an AI of ours playing a new customer, and it was not told whose number it had dialled. The wait is the time from the caller's last sound to the receptionist's first sound. The typical wait is the middle value on a call. Talking over the caller means it started speaking while the caller was mid-sentence and the caller kept going.

What this test cannot tell you
These are demonstration lines. A company's demo line is not the same as a receptionist set up for a paying customer, and each demo plays a different kind of business.
Two calls is a small sample. The two typical waits beside each name show how much one line can move between calls. Treat the table as a snapshot of one afternoon, not a ranking for all time.
Speed is not the job. This measures waiting and interrupting. It says nothing about whether the answers were right, whether a booking was made or what the business received afterwards. We test those separately on our own line and we did not grade anyone else on them.
The caller was an AI. It let us ask every line the same kind of questions in the same manner. A person would have been less consistent and might have been more patient.
Our caller was not always polite either. It cut in before the line had finished speaking on four of the eighteen calls. It did so five times on one RingCentral call and three times on one My AI Front Desk call. It did so once on a Jobber call and once on an Upfirst call. On the My AI Front Desk call and the Jobber call, that is the same call where the line talked over the caller. So part of that count may be the line finishing its own sentence. We have since changed the caller to wait until the line's voice has stopped, and the next run will count again.

Which one fits your business
My AI Front Desk is the better choice when
You want to sign up yourself and be live today. Its site says setup takes less than 5 minutes.
You want one AI across calls, texts, WhatsApp, email and chat. Ours answers the phone.
You manage rental property. Its site has a section written for property managers.
You handle health information and need a signed agreement for it. Its home page offers one, and ours does not.
Speed is the one thing you are buying. It had the shortest typical wait of the nine.
Ours is the better fit when
You want the slowest answer kept short as well as the typical one. Ours took 2.4 seconds for its slowest answer on this test, and My AI Front Desk's took 4.8.
You want callers told at the start that they are speaking with an AI and that the call is recorded.
You want to listen live from your phone, whisper an instruction or take the call over.
You want the call, its summary and its tasks filed on the client's record in NameCRM.
What the two calls showed, and what they did not
My AI Front Desk's typical wait was 1.6 seconds on both calls, and ours was 1.6 and 1.9. Its slowest answer took 4.8 seconds and ours took 2.4. On the typical wait, that is close to a tie.
On its second call it spoke over our caller five times. Our caller also cut in on it three times on that same call, so part of that count may be it finishing its own sentence. We do not count it as a difference between the two products. We are in no position to lecture anyone on manners anyway. Our own first run, on October 9, had us talking over the caller twice.
Our test caller has since been changed to wait until the other voice has stopped, and the next run will count again.
Where My AI Front Desk is ahead
It is a bigger product than ours and far easier to get. You can sign up on its website, point it at your own site and forward your number the same day.
It also covers more than the phone. Texts, WhatsApp, email and chat share one memory of each customer. Ours answers calls and sends a recap text. Everything else we do for a client lives in NameCRM, which is the point of ours and also the catch.
How to get the AI receptionist
The AI receptionist is part of NameCRM and is not sold on its own, because it books into the calendar, reads the caller's record and turns promises into tasks. Request access on the NameCRM page and we will set up a walkthrough.
Book the free 30-minute assessment. Seemab Akbar looks at how your business runs today and tells you plainly what to buy, what to build and what to leave alone. We come to you, meet somewhere near you, or talk online.
It depends on what you want changed. The wait is not it: both had a typical wait of 1.6 to 1.9 seconds on our test. Ours suits a business that wants every call filed on a client record in NameCRM and every caller told it is an AI. If you want to sign up yourself today, My AI Front Desk already does that. It also handles texts, email and chat, and ours does not.
Is My AI Front Desk the fastest AI receptionist?
It had the shortest typical wait of the nine we phoned on October 11, 2026: 1.6 seconds on both calls. Its slowest answer took 4.8 seconds. Two calls to a demo number is a small sample.
Is My AI Front Desk the same as Frontdesk?
The home page at myaifrontdesk.com now uses the name Frontdesk for a wider platform, and says the AI receptionist is where most customers start. We use the name My AI Front Desk because that is the site that publishes the demo number we called.
Does your AI receptionist handle texts and chat like My AI Front Desk?
No. Ours answers phone calls, books the meeting during the call and texts the caller a recap. My AI Front Desk's site describes one AI across voice, texts, WhatsApp, email and chat. If you need all of those from one product, it is the better choice.
Can I hear your receptionist before I decide?
Yes, by phone. Call 604-900-2060 and let it ring. When nobody picks up, the receptionist answers. It comes only with NameCRM, so the next step is to request access on the NameCRM page for a walkthrough.
